2023 LEOPARD 53 POWERCAT — MASTER CONCEPT 3
MASTER CONCEPT 3 is an exceptionally well-equipped 2023 Leopard 53 Powercat, thoughtfully upgraded for comfortable owner-operated cruising, extended time aboard, and entertaining family and friends.
Originally ordered with an extensive list of extra factory options, she has continued to receive meaningful upgrades under her current ownership, including a Lithium battery system, six 470-watt Solar panels with MPPT Charge Controller, upgraded protective hull Rubrail, removable turquoise hull wrap, Starlink, Watermaker, Yacht Controller, and more.
She has also recently completed her annual maintenance and received a fresh bottom job, presenting as a well-prepared cruising package.
The Leopard 53 Powercat combines the interior volume and stability that make power catamarans so appealing with relatively shallow draft and efficient performance. Her twin Yanmar 370 HP diesels with conventional straight-shaft propulsion provide a simple, proven drivetrain particularly well suited to extended cruising.
MASTER CONCEPT 3 is the desirable three-stateroom Owner’s Version, with the entire starboard hull dedicated to the owner’s suite and two private guest staterooms to port.
The aft cockpit provides an unusually generous entertaining area, with a solid wood dining table, seating for six or more, and substantial storage beneath the fixed seating. Immediately aft, the hydraulic tender platform provides convenient tender storage as well as easy access to the water.
The flybridge is one of the standout entertaining spaces aboard MASTER CONCEPT 3. More than simply an upper helm, it functions as a second outdoor salon, with generous seating, a large dining area, and an outdoor galley equipped with a refrigerator, ice maker and electric grill. It is a natural gathering place underway or at anchor and allows the captain to remain part of the conversation rather than being separated from family and guests.
A particularly useful addition is the Isinglass Flybridge Enclosure, which significantly extends the usability of this space. On cooler days or when conditions become windy or wet, the flybridge can be enclosed to provide excellent shelter and protection. When the weather is good, the enclosure opens up to restore the open-air experience that makes the flybridge such an enjoyable social area.
Inside, the main salon benefits from excellent headroom, panoramic windows and abundant natural light. The galley is designed for genuine cruising use, while the aftermarket electric blinds provide additional privacy and convenience. A complete lower helm provides a protected alternative to the flybridge, and the forward salon door leads directly to the foredeck lounging area.
The three-stateroom Owner’s Version is particularly well suited to extended cruising. The entire starboard hull becomes a private owner’s suite, while two separate guest staterooms to port provide comfortable accommodations for family and friends without sacrificing the owner’s privacy.
What distinguishes MASTER CONCEPT 3 is that many of her upgrades are practical rather than merely cosmetic. The combination of lithium batteries and approximately 2.8 kW of solar substantially improves the boat’s ability to operate away from shore power when air-conditioning is not required. The added rubrail provides additional protection around docks and pilings, while the removable turquoise wrap gives the boat her distinctive appearance while helping preserve the original finish beneath.
With her shallow draft, straight-shaft propulsion, substantial living and entertaining spaces, Owner’s Version layout, and extensive cruising upgrades, MASTER CONCEPT 3 offers an appealing combination of comfort, capability and independence for an owner who wants to spend meaningful time aboard.
For someone looking for a late-model Leopard 53 that has already been extensively optioned, upgraded and prepared for extended cruising, MASTER CONCEPT 3 deserves serious consideration.
